Current methods for reducing energy consumption in industrial processes
Lauterbach, David ; Miklas, Václav (referee) ; Máša, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with methods used for reducing energy consumption in industrial processes, their categorization, evaluation of approaches from the point of view of practical applicability, and formulation of leads for choosing the suitable one. First, the process improvement issue is introduced, followed by potential methods which are used nowadays. Furthermore, three chosen methods are presented (Pinch Analysis, Debottlenecking, and Energetic Management) that are often used in process improvement. Case studies, evaluation, and basic leads for their right choice are provided with the methods. In the last part, the European Union plan and the potential of given methods for fulfilling the requirements are presented. This thesis can be convenient primarily for getting familiar with the process improvement issue, given methods and how they can contribute to fulfilling EU requirements in the field of energy and environmental sustainability.
Proposal of Waste Elimination in the Production of Stabilizers
Kučera, Roman ; Jozefovic, Peter (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
This thesis is trying to solve the elimination of waste and the increase of effectiveness of the packaging process of the stabilizers in the Mubea Stabilizer Bar Systems s.r.o company. The current unsuitable state of the process of packaging is being analysed in this thesis with the help of the techniques and tools of the LEAN methodology. After the subsequent evaluation of the results of the analysis, the suggestion, which should improve and optimize the actual unsuitable state, is being devised.
Process Optimization in the Company
Pokorný, Robin ; Hrdina, Pavel (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of a production process and its optimization with the aim of streamlining production. The improvement is achieved through applying lean manufacturing tools and advanced analytical tools of simulation modelling. The theoretical section of the thesis introduces used principles, methods, and analyses. The analytical part evaluates the current state of the production process and serves as a basis for the design part, whereas the design part analyses the material and information flows using the Value-Stream Mapping methodology. The simulation model was created to aid the balancing of operations and the re-engineering of the production line. The output of this study proposes enhancements to the problem areas of the existing production process.
Introduction to Six Sigma Method and its Application for Process Improvements
Joska, Jakub ; Žák, Libor (referee) ; Bednář, Josef (advisor)
First part of the thesis deals with the description of Six sigma method and its most commonly used methodology DMAIC. The second part is a brief introduction of specific practical problem - electroforming. The third part describes the statistical tools used to solve the given task, especially the Pearson's chi-squared test of independence. The last part of the thesis contains a summary of data, calculation itself and data analysis results.
Proces Modeling as a Tool for Process Improving
Střížová, Blanka ; Ševčík, Jiří (referee) ; Juřica, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis engages in process modelling and description of selected business processes which are underway in the department of Economy and Operation of the Czech TV, in Television studio in Brno. The process models are created using the CASE tool Adonis. The theoretical part is focused on clarifying important concepts, methodologies and tools in the process management. In the analytical part, the selected processes are thoroughly described and graphically illustrated. The proposal part of the thesis highlights the improvement of selected business processes and assesses their effectiveness.
Process control improvement
Čupera, Petr ; Kotek, Luboš (referee) ; Fiala, Alois (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the improvement of non-compliance management processes in the production company supplying the railway industry. The theoretical part explains the basic characteristics and principles of process control. In the practical part, the current state of non-compliance management processes is analyzed from many points of view and potentials for improvement ire identified. Based on identified potentials, specific measures are proposed to improve the current situation and also give the expected benefits to company after the proposed measures have been put in place.
STREAMLINING OF THE PACKAGING PROCESS AT ASSEMBLY SITES
Kučera, Roman ; Jozefovič, Peter (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
The thesis deals with finding a way to streamline the process of packaging stabilizers at assembly workplaces in order to increase its productivity. The analysis of the current state in which the process is in is carried out using lean manufacturing methods. On the basis of this analysis, and after its evaluation, a proposal is made to make the process leaner and thus increase its productivity.
Lean Manufacturing and its Implementation
Kuthanová, Dominika ; Novotná,, Karin (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the problematics of lean production in a selected company. The analytical part includes the introduction of the company and the analysis of the current state with using lean manufacturing tools to optimize material flows. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part describes the objectives and methodology, followed by the theoretical basis of the work and analysis of the current state of the company. The final part includes suggestions of possible solutions leading to elimination or improvement of identified problems.
Production Line Process Optimizing
Vu Truong Quang, Duy ; Drobik,, Martin (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis I deal with analysis and optimization of production line processes in the company Otis a.s., which deals with production of elevators and escalators. The thesis contains a detailed analysis of the current state, where the processes are described, when an anticoincident product is detected. Based on the outcomes of detailed analysis and bottleneck detection, a solution will be recommended to reduce the incidence of anticoincident products.
Proposed Measures Updating the Flow Diagram of the Business Case
Šašinka, Viktor ; Mázlová, Tamara (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design updating of the process flow diagram in the preproduction process in engineering company. Specifies what is a process, identifies main differences between process and functional management, describes the methods of process analyse and compares the theoretical knowledge of the facts. It presents analysis of the current state of the business processes. The proposal tackle the improvement of processes in the form of process map shown by diagrams that provide an improved model of the functioning of company.
